Quotes are just… There’s not one word I can really use to describe how they make me feel. Relatable quotes, relationship quotes, study quotes. They’re not just helpful, they make you feel understood too. It’s nice to know that someone out there not only gets how you feel but was also able to put these feelings into words. It’s awesome really.

The quote up there is a personal one. I was in a really bad place earlier this year and it didn’t seem like things would get better. I felt stuck. So I kept praying about it and even began to fast but I didn’t feel better. I was at peace knowing God would take control but still in a lot of pain. I just needed to let it all out.

I broke my fast one day and didn’t really have anything to do so I decided to scroll through tik tok. The first til tok I saw made me stop for a moment, I even watched it twice. It wasn’t really that special but I felt like I had finally found a solution.

There was a singer in the video. He was trying to show the viewers that his engineer was also his friend. He was talking to the engineer about a rough break up he had just had and the engineer had suggested “why don’t you write a song about it?”

The singer explained that he was in no mood to write songs and wasn’t ready to work. When the engineer explained that it might help him feel better and produce an awesome song, he decided to give it a try.

The song was amazing. I think I remember myself saving the sound ( my sleep schedule is affecting my memory tch) It was heartfelt and it gave me an idea of how much his girlfriend had actually hurt him.

In a nutshell, it made me consider writing poetry again. And though my poems are real sad and “depressing” as my sister would put it, they’re really goof and I would love to post them on social media sometime. I hope other people are able to find them interesting.

Its not going to be easy but I promise it’ll be worth it. You never know what you can create or find in hard times.
