Doesn’t life suck,
When you want to be everything you’re not.
You lie.
Telling everyone “I’m fine”
“I’m healed”
When you know very well you really aren’t.
Part of you is tired.
Tired of trying,
Tired of hoping,
Looking for a boost or something to just get you through today.
You don’t know if you can do it anymore,
But you lie,
And you say “I’m fine”
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Listen carefully,
I can’t have you reading all this,
Without leaving a mark,
Without making you think deeply about it all.
It sucks, I know.
But don’t let anyone deceive you,
Don’t let social media deceive you,
Everyone has their low points.
We all have our faults,
We all have something we wish for,
We all have something we want to be,
Something we want to cherish,
Something we want to have.
Life isn’t fair,
But if it’s any comfort, it isn’t fair for any of us.
So why lie?
Why tell those fairy tales?
Why not let your loved ones see the broken side of you?
The you who actually hates make up,
The you who watches SpongeBob to cope with a rough day,
The you who cries till they can’t anymore.
These parts of you are important too.
You are a person.
A unique, not perfect but quite interesting person.
Flaws and all you’re worth it.
Don’t let jealousy and envy mess up your vision,
Don’t let the trends and hustle blind you.
It’s okay not to be okay,
It’s okay to have dull moments,
It’s okay to need a moment, to pull yourself together.
This vague and mixed up poem was written to let you know,
That it’s all okay,
Every single part of you is okay.
