All talk, no action
Makes Jack, a pathological liar
Kinda harsh? Yes, I know,
But as the popular saying goes,
Actions speak louder than words.

It’s tiring, you know?
Just listening to people say stuff,
Making promises they can’t keep,
Say things without an iota of truth,
I keep wondering, just what is the point?
Doesn’t the guilt hunt you?
Won’t you get hurt in the very end?
Will all this talk, no action.

You talk about all the things you don’t like ,
But do nothing to change them.
There isn’t much you can do? that can’t be true,
You could at least reach out to people in your shoes,
Instead of just constantly complaining on the news.
All this talk, no action.

Yeah I get it, social media is a platform.
You can bring up issues, raise public awareness.
But this isn’t enough,
If you really want to make the world a better place then take a look at yourself,
And make a change.
Micheal Jackson had a point.
Enough talk, more action.

We all just say things,
“My word, I promise” mean nothing in this generation.
Maybe to a few it still means the world but I know plenty of people who couldn’t care at all.

It’s hard really,
To live in a world that’s slowly becoming a comedy.
Social media can be deceiving,
It’s hard to tell the truth from lies,
When a lot of people are committed to just posting what they like.
Don’t even get me started on the government,
All that talk but no fulfilled promises.

I’m sorry if this poem was mean and rough,
It’s just that honestly, I’ve had enough.
All talk, no action it really sucks.
In relationships, in politics, in every single area,
There are so many mouths that talk,
But really have nothing to say.
And that sucks.
No one is perfect,
But if it isn’t true or you can’t really do it,
Then don’t talk.
