The Galaxy that is you.

The Galaxy that is you ✨

We’re all made up of star stuff
In some weird, dark, bright often milky way
A glitter in our eyes that show we’re excited
Reminders of the little joys that come with being alive
We’re lights in the dark
A role assigned by the creator of the universe
We illuminate the way, bring hope to those in despair
With one of us, things can get a little better
But with a full solar system there is optimism in the air.

There’s a lot of bright shiny stuff
Around us and within us
We only need to look a little closer
To look a little deeper
To see the constellations etched deep within us
We all have a special design, a unique purpose.
A way in which we can bring joy and hope to the earth
Those who say humanity is lost, sucked away by the darkness,
I don’t believe them
How can you say it’s night and that you cannot see
When there are so many stars around you
As far as the eyes can see.

We’re all made up of bright stuff
Shiny stuff, precious stuff,
Some pretty divine stuff
But sometimes we don’t know it,
we don’t see it or we just don’t believe it
The asteroids of the world storm into us
Blowing up the world as we know it.
Leaving nothing but the hubris of despair
They leave us broken, morphed, out of shape
The trauma deforms us, remoulds us until we become
A shadow, a husk of what we once were before.

But all the damage in the world
All the asteroids, explosions, and black holes in the Galaxy
Are not enough to take away your light
Not if you don’t let them anywhere near it
You are a star
Who is made up of stars
You’re a beautiful gift, worth more than any of the shiniest things the earth can bring
Even if this planet wants to talk otherwise
You’re beautiful on the inside and beautiful on the out
Your light shines bright from within you and the darkness comprehendeth it not
No matter what shape you take, no matter what damage the universe, entergalactic forces have done.
They can never take your truth away from you.
Not in this world, or the next one.
